Context
Junagath (Junagath presidency on obverse) and Surat (government of Surat on reverse) are cities in the present state Gujarat, Surat lies about 200 km. east of Junagath in a direct line (over 400 km. over land). Left of the date there is a disconnected ‘स’ (s) attached to the circle, that looks like ‘रव’ (rv). On the KM#45 variety below however, there is an ‘स’ left of the date and separate from the circle. An ‘s’ might refer to ‘Saura varṣa’, meaning solar year in gujarati, further investigation is required.
