Obverse: JAs. BAYLY DRAPER POOLE Reverse: PROSPERITY TO THE TOWN OF POOLE * 1795 *
Context
James Bayly was a linen and woollen draper with a business in Poole. There is also (D&H#6) a halfpenny token with same obverse and reverse. This coin (Batty# 64), on the obverse shield - the name JAs has in error an inverted s letter - as well as no dot under Poole. The normal coin (Batty# 60), is with the dot, and has JAs as usual.
